The iPhone 7 is outselling the iPhone 8 and sadly isn’t surprising at all. New data from Taiwan says that Cupertino asked Apple suppliers to reduce production by nearly 50% for the next two months.
Meanwhile, Verizon CFO said, that low demand is expected for this handset. The number of third-quarter phone upgrades fell down, compared with previous years, but the reason behind less interest in iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus is due to the excessive interest in iPhone X.
Earlier this week the reports placed iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus at the fourth and the fifth place in its list of best-performing smartphones, behind Samsung flagships.
Time shall tell if this will harm Apple in any way. Today KGI said that 2-3 million units of the iPhone X would be available for immediate dispatch from November 3 onwards.
