Amazon Echo Spot with 2,5-inch display launched at Rs 10,499

Amazon was the first major company to bring smart speakers to India. However, with the launch of the Amazon Echo Spot, that range has just expanded. The Echo Spot is already available in other regions of the globe including the US and part of Europe. In India, the circular smart speaker is priced Rs 12,999.

What separates the Amazon Echo Spot from the others in the line is its small 2.5-inch display that can display useful content. However, Amazon does have an Echo Show which has a much larger screen and also a larger price tag to boot. The Echo Spot with its lower price makes sense for a new market like India. Besides the obvious Alexa capability, the small screen of the Echo Spot displays weather, clock, and news. It can be used to do video calls with the integrated camera. Moreover, it can play short videos like movie trailers, or news from multiple sources such as Amazon Prime. Amazon Echo Spot

The Echo Spot has been customized for the Indian market and can give users cricket highlights, show close lying restaurants, and book your Ola cab amongst others.
