Alleged Meizu 16 with on-screen fingerprint reader appears in the flesh

A fresh live image connected to the Meizu 16 has appeared today sourced from China. The Meizu 16 has been a hot topic of discussion in the Meizu forums yet it has been able to stay camouflaged from even the most sneaky cameras on Weibo. We have seen a couple of images here and there but today’s new image shows us some new things.

Even though we know that the handset is confirmed to feature an on-screen fingerprint scanner and a thin bezel design, we’re only now seeing it up close in this leak. It is to be kept in mind that there is nothing in the image that actually suggests this to be a Meizu 16. However, the design language, as well as the extremely thin bezels, does suggest this is very likely a Meizu device. Also visible is the fingerprint sensor’s indicative animation on the display.

As for other info related to the Meizu 16, we’re aware that the handset will definitely feature a Snapdragon 845, and probably a variant will have Snapdragon 710. Also, as per Meizu’s founder, the handset will come with a much evolved audio experience. Recent official discussion surrounding the price indicated that the handset could cost around 4,000 Yuan or $620 approx.
